Willow: Oh, we're gonna
try out a few spells.
Tara: There's this
thing you can do where you create light,
and we thought,
what if you could make, like, simulated sunlight?

魔法商店內，Anya正在打收銀機，Willow站在她背後，手上拿著一個單子，Tara則聽著Willow的指示，拿著收銀機後方貨架上的魔法商品。
Willow: Good, and, and hellebore. It's up and to
the right.
薇珞：好，還、還有黑藜蘆。在上面右邊的地方。
Tara按指示拿了Willow說的東西給她。
Tara: Hellebore, one of my favorites.
泰拉：〈開心〉黑藜蘆，是我最愛的其中一種呢。
Willow: It's powerful stuff.
薇珞：那可是魔性很強的東西。

她跟Tara從櫃檯後面走出，手上這時拿著兩個小玻璃瓶。 |
她倆走到圓桌邊，那裡已經堆了一堆魔法商品在那了，Willow把手的上小玻璃瓶放在桌上的一個放玻璃瓶的架子上。嘴上還是繼續說著Amy老鼠的事。
Willow: She keeps giving me these
looks like she's planning something. Rubbing her paws together.
薇珞：她一直給我個在盤算什麼的表情。還一直摩擦她的爪子。
這時Anya從後方的櫃檯走來，一臉煩躁地走向她們，不高興地看著滿桌的東西。
Anya: Hey. What are you two doing?
安雅：嘿。妳們兩個在這幹嘛？
Willow和Tara還沒感受到來自Anya的強烈怒火，兩人一搭一唱開心地解釋到。
Willow: Oh, we're gonna try out a few spells.
薇珞：喔，我們要試幾個咒語。
Tara: There's this thing you can do where you
create light, and we thought, what if you could make, like, simulated sunlight?
泰拉：〈微笑〉有一個隨處都可以製造亮光的魔法，於是我們就想，是否我們可把這咒語轉成變出人造陽光的魔法呢？

Willow: Yeah, so then, you know, there Buffy is, middle of the night, and she finds this whole nest of vamps, a-and then she just goes, "Presto!" 薇珞：〈興奮〉對，然後，妳知道，Buffy在午夜裡，她發現一整窩吸血鬼，然、然後她就說「普雷斯多」！ 泰拉：實際上，除了不是說「普雷斯多」，其他都有可能啦。 |
Willow: And, and voom! There's a, a floating
ball of sunlight. Vamps get dusty.
薇珞：然後，然後砰！〈Willow手比了一下〉就有個太陽光球浮在空中。吸血鬼化為灰燼。
Tara: You don't wanna look right at it, though.
泰拉：即使如此，妳還是不會想要直視它的。
Anya聽完一連串的說明，還是很不高興，她扳著臉告誡地說。
Anya: That's swell, but you can't use this
stuff. Giles has only been gone two days and you're already causing trouble.
You shouldn't do things while he's gone.
安雅：那很棒，但是妳們不可以用這些東西。Giles才離開兩天，妳們就已經在製造麻煩了。妳們不應該在他不在時弄這些。
Willow: (smiling) You're the fish!
薇珞：（微笑）妳是那條魚！
Tara聽Willow這麼說，笑了起來。Anya則是皺著眉頭。
Anya: What?
安雅：什麼？
Willow: The, the fish in the bowl, in The Cat in
the Hat. He was always saying that the cat shouldn't be there while the mother
was out.
薇珞：〈微笑〉那、那條碗裡的魚，是一本叫「戴帽子的貓」裡的角色。它老是說媽媽出去的時候，貓咪不該跑來這。
Anya依舊聽不懂。
Anya: What are you talking about?
安雅：妳在說什麼？

Tara好心地對Anya補充說明。 泰拉：那是本書。那裡面的貓很調皮搗蛋。 Willow開心地繼續說那隻貓。 薇珞：牠超可愛的。牠讓那魚缸裡的魚平均了不少，包括那條碗裡的魚！〈回憶的表情〉還、還有，妳六歲的時候別真的去學牠，因為那會讓妳接下來五年都不能養魚。 Anya越聽越生氣。 |

安雅：（生氣）妳在說文學作品，而且這根本就是我八竿子不會讀的東西。妳讓我覺得自己聽不懂，而且妳在偷東西！
Anya的指控讓Willow很不高興。
Willow: I'm not stealing. I-I'm just taking
things without paying for th... (pauses) In what twisted dictionary is that
stealing?
薇珞：我沒有偷東西。我、我只是拿了東西沒有付……（頓了一下）在什麼爛字典裡，會查到說這是偷東西？
Tara則是覺得氣氛不大對。
Tara: Willow, maybe we should just pay.
泰拉：Willow，或許我們該付錢吧。
Willow不管Tara說的，想要說服Anya。
Willow: Anya, Giles would be totally fine with this. Come on, it'll be fun. (Gets an idea) We could show you how to do some stuff! You could be floatin' pencils by the end of the day.
薇珞：Anya，Giles絕對會覺得沒關係的。別這樣嘛，很有趣的。（轉念一說）我們可以教妳怎麼使用這些東西！妳整天都可以玩漂浮鉛筆喔。
Anya聽了Willow的說法，整個人忽然軟化了下來。
Anya: Sometimes I miss having powers.
安雅：我有時也挺想念有魔法的日子。
Willow有點邪惡地對Tara偷笑，Anya看著她的表情，突然想通。
Anya: Oh. Oh! I know what this is! (shaking her finger at them) This is peer pressure! Any second now you're gonna make me smoke tobacco and, and have drugs.
安雅：喔。喔！我知道這是什麼了！（對她們搖搖手指）這是同儕壓力！這時候的妳還可以讓我抽煙，還有、還有吸毒。
Willow開心地說。
Willow: Look how easy.
薇珞：看看多簡單喔。
Willow一說完，就望向桌子，讓幾個桌上的東西飄了起來。Anya則是非常惶恐。
Anya: Hey! Don't float the merchandise!
安雅：嘿！不要亂飄我的商品！
Anya把東西都抓回桌上。Willow轉頭又望向櫃檯，飄起了幾樣櫃檯上的東西。
Anya: Stop that!
安雅：〈生氣〉住手！
這時Xander走進店內，看來心情很好，他沒注意到櫃檯上飄起的東西，然後就站到了Willow和Anya之間。
Xander: Hey, look at this, my two favorite girls! (to Tara) Three favorite girls.
詹德：嘿，看看這裡，有兩個我最心愛的女孩！（對Tara）三個最心愛的女孩。
Anya不知所措地對Xander說。
Anya: Xander, Willow's stealing. She's a burglar.
安雅：Xander，Willow在偷東西。她是個小偷。
Willow沒好氣的回答。
Willow: Right, the cunning, broad daylight in
front of everyone burglar. Xander, I'm just doing a spell to help Buffy.
薇珞：是啊，我可是一個光天化日又眾目睽睽下的神偷呢。Xander，我只是要弄個魔法幫助Buffy。
Xander點點頭。
Anya: Xander, Giles left me in charge. Tell
her.
安雅：Xander，Giles要我來顧店的。告訴她。
Xander被搞得有點煩了。
Xander: Hey, hey, Judge Xander requesting a
recess here.
詹德：嘿、嘿，Xander法官這裡請求休庭。

Tara平靜地對Anya說。 泰拉：妳真的不應該把他扯進來。 詹德：對，瞧？Tara是跟我一國的。（馬上站到Tara背後）保護我，Tara。 |
Willow這時則拿了一個缽和搗杵，走到櫃檯後方。
Willow: Xander, what I'm doing, it's a good thing.
And if it doesn't work, Giles never even needs to know about it.
薇珞： Xander，我正在做的可是件好事。而且萬一沒成功，Giles也絕不會有必要非知道不可。

說完她就把缽和杵放在櫃檯上，然後從缽中拿出某種粉末，朝收銀機灑去。但這一瞬間，卻冒出了一堆粉紅色煙霧，收銀機不見了。 |
Anya衝上櫃檯後方，站在Willow旁邊。其他兩人也上前關心。
Anya: The cash register! What did you do
with the cash register? Dear god!
安雅：收銀機！妳對收銀機怎麼了？天啊！
Willow: I'll fix it, I'll fix it! Recursat.
薇珞：我會修正的，我會修正的。回回來！！
又一陣粉紅煙霧，收銀機出現了，但是收據全部都抽了出來，打結成一團。收銀機四周還冒著煙霧。
Willow: There, all back. Good as new.
薇珞：在那，都回來啦。跟新的一樣好。
Anya滿臉緊張。
Anya: Money. Did you hurt the money?
安雅：錢。妳有傷害到錢嗎？
Anya打開冒著煙的收銀機，從裡面掏出一疊鈔票，並在Xander眼前揮舞。
Anya: Money good? She endangered the money!
安雅：錢還好嗎？她讓錢受到危險！

Xander無奈地聳聳肩。 薇珞：當然了，她只關心這個。（模仿Anya）「我喜歡錢勝過任何人。人可是無法跟東西或服務相比的。」 |
|
Anya看著Willow，滿臉驚恐地對Xander說。
Anya: Xander, she's pretending to be me!
安雅：Xander，她模仿我！
Willow繼續損著Anya。
Willow: Well, can you even believe how she's
acting?
薇珞：這個嘛，你們甚至能想像出她說這話的模樣！
這時Xander已經完全受不了了，他生氣地說。
Xander: Okay, you know what? I'm tired of
being the one in the middle. I'm not gonna let you pull me into this.
Xander：好了，妳們知道嗎？我不想當夾在中間的人了。我不要讓你們把我拖進這混水裡。

Willow: I'm not. 薇珞：〈無辜〉我沒有。 |
Xander說完，就轉身頭也不回地走出店外。
Anya: Xander, don't go!
安雅：Xander，別走！
Xander砰地一聲關上門，Willow和Anya都被Xander的舉動嚇到。
Willow: You made him mad.
薇珞：妳讓他生氣了。
Anya: Me?!
安雅：（生氣）我？！
Willow看向站在櫃檯前方的Tara。
Willow: Tara, who do you think he was more mad
at?
薇珞：Tara，妳覺得我跟她誰比較讓Xander生氣？

Tara不知道該怎麼回答，尷尬地說。 |
一說完，Tara也趕緊轉身離去，留下Anya和Willow互相對望著。
