Bronze內，Dawn從撞球台上醒了過來，她看著黑暗的Bronze四周，準備起身逃離這裡。但沒想到，原先把她抓來這裡的三個惡魔再度出現，他們跟Dawn用舞蹈的型式，表達Dawn想逃跑，卻被攔阻的內容，最後Dawn被拋到Bronze的舞台前，她抬頭一看，看到了舞蹈之王Sweet，這時音樂開始響起，Swett跳起踢躂舞。
That's What It's All About Sweet： Why'd you run away? 妳為什麼要逃跑？ Don't you like my style? 妳不喜歡我的風格嗎？ Why don't you come and play? 為什麼妳不過來玩玩呢？ I guarantee a great big smile 我保證妳會得到個開心的微笑

Dawn： She'll get pissed 她會生氣 If I'm missed 如果我沒出現 See, my sister's the Slayer... 懂嗎，我姊姊是剋星

Sweet：（說）
The Slayer?
剋星？

Dawn：
Yuh-huh.
對呀。

Sweet：（對手下說） Find her. Tell her...tell her everything. Just get her here. I want to see the Slayer burn. 去找她。告訴她……告訴她一切。就把她抓來這裡。我想要看剋星燃燒。 （唱） Now we're partying 現在我們來開派對吧 That's what it's all about 事情本來就該這樣子 （歌曲結束）
同一時間在魔法商店後方的訓練室內，Buffy正一腳把Giles手上拿的木板踢成兩半，Giles低頭看著手上斷掉的木板殘骸，稱讚Buffy。 Giles: Good. Good. 吉爾斯：不錯、不錯。 Buffy: I feel like I should ... bow, or ... have honor or something. 芭菲：我感到我該……鞠躬感謝，或者……接受喝采之類的。 Giles: It may seem hokey, but we need to work on precision and concentration as much as power. We're still not sure what we're facing. 吉爾斯：這或許是種假的感覺，但是我們得把準確度和專心度提升到跟妳的力道一樣高。我們還是不確定目前面對的是什麼。

Buffy走向訓練室內做體操的鞍馬旁，把腳抬到上面拉拉筋。
Buffy: Oh, you'll figure it out. I'm just worried this whole session's gonna turn into some training montage from an 80's movie.
芭菲：喔，你會想出辦法的。我現在只擔心這個訓練過程會變成八零年代電影裡的蒙太奇效果。

Giles把手上的木板丟到牆角，並隨手把毛巾拿起來。
Giles: Ah. Well, if we hear any inspirational power chords, we'll just lie down until they go away. Anyway, I don't think we need to work that much on your strength.
吉爾斯：嗯。如果我們聽到什麼會讓人想唱歌跳舞的旋律，就躺下來直到這感覺消散。不管怎樣，我不認為我們需要在提升妳力氣上花太多心血。

Buffy開始倒立在鞍馬上。
Buffy: Yeah, I'm pretty spry for a corpse.
芭菲：對呀，我對應付死人的身手可是相當敏捷。

突然間，Giles頓了一下，他問Buffy。
Giles: Have you spoken to Dawn about that incident at Halloween?
吉爾斯：妳有跟Dawn談上次萬聖節發生的意外嗎？

Buffy從鞍馬上原本倒立的姿勢改跳到地上，接著她開始伸展她的手臂。 Buffy: Oh. I thought you took care of that. 芭菲：喔。我還想你已經處理好那件事了。 Giles看著Buffy，輕聲回答。 Giles: Right. 吉爾斯：對。

Buffy對Giles的回答感到相當理所當然。
Buffy: What would I do without you?
芭菲：沒有你我該怎麼辦？

聽了Buffy的話，Giles開始感到憂傷起來，他對Buffy過度依賴他感到無奈，即使如此，他還是走向一旁的武器架，準備挑武器訓練Buffy。
Buffy: Okay. I'm ready.
芭菲：（笑）好了，我準備好了。

就在這個時刻，Giles開始唱出他的心聲。

就在剛剛Giles開口唱歌之際，Tara已經匆匆來到魔法商店內，她瞄了Willow的背影一眼，然後急忙爬到二樓禁書區，抽出一本魔法書，不斷翻著書頁，那本書裡有許多魔法藥草的圖和簡介。接著Tara翻到跟手中藥草相符的資料，她看著上面的解說寫著："Lethe's Bramble. Used for augmenting spells of forgetting and mind control." （忘憂草：使用於忘記爭吵以及心靈控制的咒語）
看到了這裡，Tara不禁悲傷地唱起歌來。 Wish I Could Stay (Tara & Giles) Tara： I'm under your spell 妳的魔法施展在我身上 God, how can this be? 天哪，怎麼會這樣？ Playing with my memory 玩弄我的記憶 You know I've been through hell 我彷彿置身地獄 Willow, don't you see? Willow，妳難道不懂？ There'll be nothing left of me 沒有任何妳讓我相信的事物 You made me believe 會留在我的心裡
Giles： (從訓練室走出，接著Tara的歌詞) Believe me, I don't wanna go 相信我，我並不想離開 Giles和Tara：（兩人看著眼前交談中的Willow和Buffy） And it'll grieve me, cuz I love you so 這會讓我哀傷，因為我是這麼愛妳 But we both know 但是我們兩個都知道

唱完，Tara和Giles肩並肩，各自憂傷地望著眼前的Willow和Giles。突然間，魔法商店的店門被打開，Spike拎著一個Sweet的手下走進店內，大家都紛紛看向他。 Spike: Lookie lookie what I found. 大釘：看看、看看我發現什麼。 Tara走向Spike。 Tara: Is-is this the demon guy? 泰拉：就、就是這個惡魔嗎？

Willow看到Tara在店內，很高興地叫她。
Willow: Tara!
薇珞：Tara！

Tara連看都不看Willow一眼，就從她身旁走過，Willow皺著眉，表情轉為訝異。這時Xander和Anya也靠了過來，大家看著Spike解釋這位惡魔是何方神聖。
Spike: Works for him. Has a nice little story for the Slayer, don't you? Come on, then. Sing.
大釘：是惡魔的手下。他有一個不錯的小故事要跟剋星說，對不對？那來吧。（把惡魔推向前）唱啊。

背景突然傳來音樂劇的旋律，聽上去又有一番精采的歌舞，但是突然間，惡魔開口了，他用正常的聲音說出一切。 Minion: My master has the Slayer's sister hostage at the Bronze because she summoned him and at midnight he's going to take her to the underworld to be his queen. 手下：我的主人在Bronze抓了剋星的妹妹當人質，因為她召喚了他，而到了子夜他將把她帶去地下世界，當他的王后。 Giles: What does he want? 吉爾斯：他的目的是什麼？
惡魔手下指指Buffy。 Minion: Her. 手下：是她。 Spike: If that's all you've got to say, then- 大釘：（嘲笑）若你要說的就是這個，那……

Spike上前再度要抓住惡魔手下，卻被對方一把推開，惡魔手下轉身逃出魔法商店，Spike嚇了一跳，還差點跌倒。
Spike: Strong. Someday he'll be a real boy.
大釘：力量真大。有朝一日他會脫離當縮頭烏龜的。

Buffy鎮定地看著前方。
Buffy: So. Dawn's in trouble. Must be Tuesday.
芭菲：那。Dawn有麻煩了。一定是星期二的關係。
（註：因為「魔法奇兵」都星期二播出，他們都固定在星期二在大家眼前發生一堆麻煩事，所以這句話是在諷刺自己）

Tara自責地說。
Tara: I-I just left her for a few minutes.
泰拉：我、我才剛讓她獨處一下下。

Buffy轉頭看向Tara。
Buffy: Oh, it's not your fault. So what's the plan?
芭菲：喔，不是妳的錯。那我們的計畫呢？
Xander: Plan, schema. Let's mount up.
詹德：計畫，大綱。我們唱出來吧。
Giles: No.
吉爾斯：不要。
Anya: Uh, Dawn may have had the wrong idea in summoning this creature, but ... I've seen some of these underworld child bride deals and, and they never end well. Well, maybe once.
安雅：嗯，Dawn或許做了錯誤的事，把這個東西給召喚出來，但是……我有看過幾次到地下世界當兒童新娘的交易，而且，而且她們的下場都很不好。或許，曾經不好。

Willow擔心地說。
Willow: We're not just gonna stay here.
薇珞：我們不能光待在這裡。
Giles: Yes we are. Buffy's going alone.
吉爾斯：不，我們要待在這。（Giles對Buffy）Buffy要一個人去對付。

Spike嘲笑起Giles。
Spike: Gah! Don't be a stupid git. There is no-
大釘：哈！別當個蠢貨了。沒有任何一個……
Giles: If I want your opinion, Spike, I'll- I'll never want your opinion.
吉爾斯：如果我需要你的見解的話，Spike，我會……（想了一下）我絕對不會想要你的見解的。

Willow插嘴提議用魔法。
Willow: A little confusion spell could-
薇珞：一個小小的混淆咒或許……

但Tara卻馬上打斷她。
Tara: No! I mean, I don't think it'll help.
泰拉：不！（Willow訝異地看著Tara）我是說，我不認為那有幫助。

Spike走到Buffy面前，相當友善地說。
Spike: Look, forget them, Slayer. I've got your back.
大釘：聽好，別理他們，剋星。我會支援妳的。

不過Buffy卻冷冷地回絕了Spike。
Buffy: I thought you wanted me to stay away from you. Isn't that what you sang?
芭菲：我還以為你要我離你遠遠的呢。你之前不就那樣唱嗎？

Xander驚訝地問。
Xander: Spike sing a widdle song?
詹德：Spike唱了首歌？
Anya: Would you say it was a breakaway pop hit or more of a book number?
安雅：他唱的是百老匯的熱門流行歌還是比音樂劇表演還精采的歌呢？
Xander: Let it go, sweetie.
詹德：算了吧，甜心。

Spike沒有理會Xander和Anya的一搭一唱，他生氣地瞪著Buffy。
Spike: Fine. I hope you dance till you burn. You and the little bit.
大釘：好吧。我希望妳舞跳到身體燒掉為止。妳和這些人都一樣。

丟下這句話，Spike大步離開魔法商店，Buffy眼神看向Giles。
Buffy: You're really not coming.
芭菲：你真的不來。

Giles站到Buffy眼前。 Giles: It's up to you, Buffy. 吉爾斯：由妳決定，Buffy。 Buffy: What do you expect me to do? 芭菲：（生氣）你想要我怎麼做？ Giles: Your best. 吉爾斯：盡妳最大的努力去做。

Buffy瞪視著Giles，一會兒後，她獨自走到黑暗的大街上，路邊的桶子裡正燃燒著紅色火焰，幾個人在一旁跳舞，這時Buffy走近，伸手靠向火光取暖。

Walk Through The Fire (Buffy, Spike, Sweet, Giles, Xander, Anya, Tara, Willow)

Buffy： I touch the fire and it freezes me 我碰觸火焰，它讓我感到冰冷 I look into it and it's black 我朝它深處望去，它顯現黑暗 Why can't I feel? 為何我無法感覺？ My skin should crack and peel 我的皮膚應該灼熱剝落 I want the fire back 我要原有的火焰回來

Xander： What if Buffy can't defeat it? 萬一Buffy打不敗它怎麼辦？ Anya： Beady Eyes is right 晶亮小眼說得對 We're needed! 我們都需要去幫忙！ ...Or we could just sit around and glare 要不我們就袖手旁觀也可以

Anya, Giles, Tara, Willow和Xander：
We'll see it through
我們會看清一切

這就是我們在此常做之事

所以我們會穿越火燄而行

Buffy：	Tara：
