Buffy走到Bronze裡，看到Sweet和Dawn兩人坐在舞台的椅子上，Sweet眼看剋星走進來，得意地開口對Buffy說。 Sweet: I love a good entrance. 史威特：我喜歡好的開場。 Buffy: How are you with death scenes? 芭菲：那來段你死掉的戲如何？

Sweet哼哼笑了幾聲，Buffy慢慢踱步走到舞池內。
Buffy: You got a name?
芭菲：你有名字嗎？
Sweet: I've got a hundred.
史威特：我有一百個名字。

Buffy靠在舞台旁，瞪著Sweet。
Buffy: Well, I ought to know what to call you if you're gonna be my brother-in-law.
芭菲：我得要知道怎麼稱呼你，如果你變成我妹夫的話。

Dawn急著趕緊回答。
Dawn: Buffy, I swear I didn't do it.
糖：Buffy，我發誓不是我做的。
Buffy: Don't worry. You're not going anywhere. I am.
芭菲：別擔心。妳哪裡都不會去的。（Sweet看著Buffy）我會。
Dawn: What?
糖：什麼？

Sweet被Buffy的話撩起興趣，傾身向前聽Buffy說下去。
Buffy: Deal's this. I can't kill you? You take me to Hellsville in her place.
芭菲：（對Sweet）交易是這樣的。我殺不了你的話，我就代替她跟你到地獄去。

Sweet面露嘲笑之色。
Sweet: What if I kill you?
史威特：萬一我殺掉妳了呢？
Buffy: Trust me. Won't help.
芭菲：（面無表情）相信我。這沒好處的。

Sweet微笑回答。
Sweet: Hm, that's gloomy!
史威特：嗯，那真讓人感到難過啊！
Buffy: That's life.
芭菲：那就是人生。

Buffy的話讓Sweet又哼哼笑了兩下。
Sweet: Come now, is that really what you feel? Isn't life a miraculous thing?
史威特：那就來吧，那就是妳真正的感受嗎？人生可不是一件美妙的事嗎？
Buffy: I think you already know.
芭菲：我想你已經知道了。

這時站在舞池上雙手叉腰的Buffy，開始唱起歌來。

Life's a Show (Buffy) Buffy： Life's a show 人生如戲 And we all play our parts 我們都在扮演各自的角色 And when the music starts 而當音樂開始的時候 We open up our hearts 我們都敞開心胸
It's all right 沒有關係 If some things come out wrong 若有些事情的結果是錯的 We'll sing a happy song 我們會唱首快樂的歌 And you can sing along 而你可跟著高歌
Where's there's life 到處都有人生 There's hope, everyday's a gift 都有希望，每天都是禮物 Wishes can come true 許願可以成真 Whistle while you work 工作時可以吹吹口哨 So hard all day 整日辛勤不已 To be like other girls 就像其他女孩一般 To fit in in this glittering world 好適應在這光輝燦爛的世界裡 （這時Giles、Anya、Tara、Willow和Xander趕來） Don't give me songs 別再讓我唱了

Giles： (說)
She needs backup. Anya, Tara...
她需要支援。Anya、Tara……
（Anya和Tara上前排在Buffy身後）

Buffy： Don't give me songs 別再讓我唱了 Give me something to sing about (Anya, Tara：Ahhhhh...) 給我些東西好唱的（Anya和Tara：啊……） I need something to sing about 我需要一些東西好唱出口

人生是首
You don't get to rehearse
你不用去排練的歌曲

而每節獨立的韻腳

都有可能讓這首歌變得更糟

Still, my friends don't know why I ignore 還是一樣，我的朋友不懂我為何忽略掉 The million things or more 成千上萬或更多的東西 I should be dancing for 我應該都能為它們不斷跳舞下去
All the joy, life sends 所有歡樂，都來自於生活、 Family and friends 家庭和朋友 All the twists and bends 所有的鞠躬和哈腰 Knowing that it ends 都知道節目已經結束 Well, that depends 那都取決於 On if they let you go 是否觀眾要讓你走 Or if they know enough to know 或者是否他們已真的知道 That when you've bowed 當你謝幕鞠躬之際 You leave the crowd 你就是要離開眾人

（唱到這，旋律還是不斷在走，Buffy已經唱不出東西了，舞卻越跳越快，身體快要燃燒了起來，突然Spike走上前，抓住她）

Spike： Life's not a song 人生不是首歌 Life isn't bliss 人生不是天賜之福 Life is just this 人生就是這樣 It's living 這就是活著的樣子 You'll get along 妳會與妳感受到的痛苦 The pain that you feel 一起生活下去 You only can heal 妳只能讓傷口癒合 By living 藉由生活的方式 You have to go on living 妳必須繼續生活下去 So one of us is living 這樣我們當中的一位才會活下去

Dawn：(站起來，說出Buffy上一次死掉之前，對Dawn的交代)
The hardest thing in this world is to live in it.
這世上最辛苦的事就是要在其中生活下去。

（歌曲結束）

一曲唱罷，Sweet點頭鼓掌，但是Willow因為聽了Buffy的真正心聲，她知道自己因為用魔法把Buffy從天堂裡帶出來，而開始非常難過，Tara在一旁想要安慰她。 Sweet: Now that was a show-stopping number. Not quite the fireworks that I was looking for. 史威特：（對大家）現在這可就是最受歡迎的節目了。雖不全然是我原本期待的燃燒大會。

Willow瞪著Sweet。
Willow: Get out of here.
薇珞：給我滾。
Sweet: Mm, I smell power. I guess the little misss and I should be on our way.
史威特：嗯，我嗅到了強大的力量。（站起，走向Dawn）我想這個小新娘跟我該要打道回府了。
Giles: That's never going to happen.
吉爾斯：想都別想。

Swett笑了笑。
Sweet: I don't make the rules. She summoned me.
史威特：規則不是我定的。是她召喚我來的。

Dawn聽到這說法，忍不住急著反駁。 Dawn: I so did not. He keeps saying that. 糖：（對Sweet）我絕絕對對沒有。（對大家）他一直都那樣說。 Sweet彎身在她胸前的項鍊前比畫了一下。 Sweet: You have my talisman on, sweet thing. 史威特：妳身上有我的護身符，親愛的。

由於這項鍊她是從下午剛從魔法商店偷來的，所以Dawn馬上緊張又心虛地解釋。
Dawn: Oh, but, no, I, I, um, uh, this, at, at the Magic Box, on the floor, I was, I was cleaning, and I ... forgot ... but ... I didn't summon anything.
糖：喔，但是，不，我、我，嗯，這個是在、在Magic Box的地上，我、我之前在清掃，而我……忘了……但是……我沒有召喚任何東西。

Sweet看向大家。
Sweet: Well now, that's a twist.
史威特：現在嘛，事情的演變可是相當意外。
Giles: If it was in the shop ... then one of us probably...
吉爾斯：如果這之前是在店裡……那我們當中的一位或許……

大家面面相覷，過了一下子，Xander緩緩舉起手來，承認是自己做的。 Anya: Xander?! 安雅：Xander？！ Xander: Well, I didn't know what was gonna happen! I just thought there were gonna be dances and songs. I just wanted to make sure we'd... we'd work out. Get a happy ending. 詹德：嗯，我不知道會發生什麼事嘛！我只以為會有一些唱歌和跳舞。（對Anya）我只是想要確認我們……我們兩個能夠走得下去。（緊張地笑了笑）來個快樂的結局吧。

Sweet對大家微笑地說。
Sweet: I think everything worked out just fine.
史威特：我想每件事都進行的不錯。

Xander則是非常緊張，吞了口口水。 Xander: Does this mean that I have to... be your queen? 詹德：那就代表我得要……當你的王后？ Sweet: It's tempting. But I think we'll waive that clause just this once. 史威特：（微笑）這主意很吸引人。但我想我們這次就忽略掉那個約定好了。

聽到Sweet說的，Xander大大鬆了口氣，Sweet對著台下每個都各有心事，笑不出來的大家說。
Sweet: Big smiles everyone! You beat the bad guy.
史威特：大家都開心地笑一笑嘛！你們打贏壞人囉。

Sweet開心地在舞台上旋轉了一圈。

Sweet Song (Reprise) (Demon) Sweet： What a lot of fun 真是有意思啊 You guys have been real swell 你們大家真的都表現得不錯 And there's not a one who can say 而卻沒有一位能夠說 This ended well 這個結尾不錯 All those secrets 這堆你們曾 You've been concealing 藏匿於心底的秘密 Say you're happy now, 你們現在都該高興了吧 Once more with feeling 再一次隨著感覺而走 Now I gotta run 現在我得溜了 See you all in hell! 你們大家地獄見 （歌曲結束）
Sweet唱完之後，化為一團亮光，伴隨著他的笑聲，離開了Bronze。但是即使Sweet離開了，大家的表情都是心事重重，氣氛相當凝重。 正當大家都沉默不語時，Dawn在舞台上唱了起來。

Where Do We Go From Here? (Buffy, Spike, Dawn, Giles, Xander, Anya, Tara, Willow)(All)
Dawn：
Where do we go from here?
從這裡開始，我們該往哪去？

Buffy和Spike：
Where do we go from here?
從這裡開始，我們該往哪去？

Giles：
The battle's done and we kind of won
這場戰鬥終了，我們獲得勝利

Giles和Tara：
So we sound our victory cheer
所以我們聽來都在為勝利歡呼
Where do we go from here?
從這裡開始，我們該往哪去？

Anya和Xander：
Why is the path unclear
為何道路如此模糊
When we know hope is near?
我們何時才知希望已近？

Anya, Buffy, Dawn, Giles, Spike, Tara, Willow和Xander： Understand we'll go hand in hand, but we'll walk alone in fear 知道我們將一路心手相連向前行，但我們會獨自行走在害怕中 Giles： Tell me! 告訴我！
Anya, Buffy, Dawn, Giles, Spike, Tara, Willow和Xander： Where do we go from here? 從這裡開始，我們該往哪去？ When does the end appear? 何時結束才會出現？
Spike：(發現自己怎麼跟著唱起來了，不屑地說) Bugger this. 去他媽的。 （Spike離開） Anya, Buffy, Dawn, Giles, Tara, Willow和Xander： When do the trumpets cheer? 何時歡慶的號角才會響起？

（Buffy注意到Spike走出Bronze，她脫離正唱歌中的大家，上前追上Spike，背景還傳來Bronze內其他人的歌聲）

Anya, Dawn, Giles, Tara, Willow和Xander：
The curtain's closed on a kiss
閉幕在接吻的地方落下
God knows, you can tell the end is near
天知道，你分辨得出結尾已近
Where do we go from here?
從這裡開始，我們該往哪去？

Buffy在Bronze的後巷中叫住Spike。 Buffy: Hey. 芭菲：嘿。 Spike轉身看Buffy。 Spike: You should go back inside. Finish the big group sing. Get your kumbayayas out. 大釘：妳應該回到裡面。好完成這個大堆頭的演唱。把你們這些伊伊啊啊唱完吧。 Buffy: I don't want to. 芭菲：我不想回去。
Spike嘆了口氣。 Spike: The day you sus out what you do want, there'll probably be a parade. Seventy-six bloody trombones. 大釘：妳想出妳真正想過的日子後，或許會有一場盛大遊行慶祝的。還會有七十六支長號的歡慶演奏。 Buffy: Spike... 芭菲：Spike。 Spike: Look, you don't have to say anything. 大釘：聽好，妳什麼都不用說。 沒想到，Buffy看著Spike，脫口又唱起歌來。 Buffy: I touch the fire and it freezes me. 芭菲：（唱）我碰觸火焰，它讓我感到冰冷。

Spike驚訝地看著Buffy，他緩緩走向前，也跟著唱起來。

Buffy：	Spike：
I look into it and it's black 我朝它深處望去，它顯現黑暗 This isn't real 這不是真的 But I just want to feel 但我只是想要去好好感覺四周	I died too many years ago 我在多年之前已經死去 You can make me feel 妳可以讓我感覺到四周

一唱到這，Buffy和Spike兩人就彼此相擁，忍不住開始激烈地吻著對方，這時Bronze內其他人的歌聲傳來。

Anya, Dawn, Giles, Tara, Willow和Xander： Where do we go from here? 從這裡開始，我們該往哪去？ （歌曲結束）

最終畫面就在Buffy和Spike接吻之處，打上「The End」的字樣，接著兩道布幕從兩旁滑落下來，本集結束。
