而在Summers家裡，忙亂又驚險的一天總算結束，大家準備就寢，Willow穿著睡衣褲，從浴室走回房間，她走進來時，Tara正在鏡子前梳頭。 Willow: Hey. 薇珞：嘿。
	Tara繼續梳著她的長髮。 Tara: Did you get through to London? 泰拉：妳打電話到倫敦了嗎？ Willow: Yeah. He's gonna head back as soon as he can. I'm not sure, like maybe a couple days. 薇珞：打了。他會盡快趕回來。我不確定，也許會過幾天吧。

Tara停止原本的動作，回頭看向Willow。
Tara: How did he take it?
泰拉：他怎麼面對這件事？

Willow在手臂上抹起乳液。 Willow: Um ... I'm not sure. I mean ... glad, but ... kinda weirded out, which I get, you know? Lots of "dear lords". And I think I actually heard him cleaning his glasses. 薇珞：嗯……我不確定。我的意思是……高興吧，但……我得到的回應有點怪怪的，妳知道嗎？一大堆「我的老天啊」。而且我想我真的有聽到他擦他眼鏡的聲音。

Willow的話讓Tara會心一笑。
Tara: Are you worried?
泰拉：妳擔心嗎？
Willow: Worried? Tara, it worked fine. It's all good.
薇珞：擔心？Tara，事情進行得很順利。（遲疑）一切都很好。

Tara脫掉睡袍，露出裡面的連身內衣準備上床睡覺，她其實有點感受到Willow心底的不安。 Tara: Hey, Will, this is me. It doesn't all have to be "good" and "fine." This is the room where you don't have to be brave. I still love you. If you're worried you can be worried. 泰拉：嘿，Willow，是我。妳不必一定要跟我說「順利」和「很好」。這是一個妳不需要顯露勇氣的房間。我還是很愛妳的。如果妳感到擔心，妳就擔心吧。

Willow無奈地笑了笑。
Willow: Well ... I'm not ... unworried. I mean, what, what happened, that was intense. That's ... gotta change you.
薇珞：呃……我沒有……不擔心。我是說，事情發生的太突然了。（順手關房門）那……會改變人的。

Willow關燈，然後鑽進被窩躺到Tara身旁，Tara躺在枕頭上，關心地看著她。 Willow: When Angel came back ... Buffy said ... he was wild. Like an animal. 薇珞：當Angel之前回來時……Buffy說過……他很野蠻。就像動物一樣。 （註：Angel是Buffy第一任男友，他是個滿帥的吸血鬼，他曾變成第二季的大魔王，最後被Buffy打進一個地獄空間，第三季他從那個空間回來，又變成好人一個）

Tara: Buffy's not like that.
泰拉：Buffy不像那樣。
Willow: Yeah.
薇珞：對。
Tara: But?
泰拉：但是？

Willow指指自己的頭。
Willow: It's just kinda ... noisy up here tonight, you know?
薇珞：只是今晚……這上頭有點亂轟轟的，妳知道嗎？
Tara: Yeah.
泰拉：知道。

	Tara挪動身體靠向Willow，然後把頭埋在Willow的肩膀上，手抱著她。 Tara: Is this better? 泰拉：這會好一點嗎？
Willow微笑地用手摩擦著Tara的手臂。 Willow: Yeah. I think it makes things quieter in here. 薇珞：會。我想這會讓裡面平靜一點。 即使Willow這麼說，但她看上去似乎還是心事重重的模樣，Tara依偎著她，在Willow耳邊說出了她的想法。 Tara: You know what I think? I think we all just assumed crash positions. 泰拉：妳知道我在想什麼嗎？我想我們之前全都只假設失敗的狀況。

Willow: Huh?
薇珞：啊？
Tara: It's, it's, it's like ... we were all tensed up, like ... we were expecting it to screw up. We weren't prepared for it to ... actually go right.
泰拉：這、這、這就像……我們全都太緊張了，就像……我們都預料這絕對不會成功。我們沒有為……事情進展順利做好準備。

Willow: Yeah.
薇珞：對。

Willow盯著天花板，想了一下，繼續開口說。
Willow: Tara?
薇珞：Tara？
Tara: Yeah?
泰拉：怎樣？
Willow: If things did go right ... wouldn't you think she'd be ... happier? Like, wouldn't you think she would be so happy that we brought her out?
薇珞：如果事情進展順利……妳難道不覺得她應該會……快樂一點嗎？就像，妳不覺得她會非常高興我們把她帶回來嗎？
Tara: Sure she is.
泰拉：她當然會。

Willow心裡其實還是相當擔心。
Tara: You thought she'd say thanks. Be more grateful.
泰拉：妳認為她會說聲謝謝。看來更感激一點。
Willow: Would I be a terrible person if I said yes?
薇珞：如果我說對，我會是一個很糟糕的人嗎？
Tara: Give her time. She'll get there.
泰拉：給她一點時間。她會了解到那點的。
Willow: Right. No need to be in a big furry hurry.
薇珞：對。不需要太過急迫。
Tara: Exactly. I'm sure it's okay
泰拉：就是這樣。我確定會沒事的。

就在Buffy的房內，她沒有入睡，她環顧著房內她跟Willow以及Xander的合照，一張一張地看著，突然間，這些照片上的臉全都變成可怕的骷髏頭，Buffy嚇了一跳，但照片緊接著又恢復正常。

大家都入睡後，似乎有什麼東西跑進了Willow和Tara的房內，四周的物品開始搖晃，砰地一聲，床頭牆壁上掛的畫框玻璃破碎，全砸到睡覺中的Willow和Tara身上，兩人急忙從床上坐了起來。 Willow看向前方，居然是Buffy站在那裡。 Willow: Buffy? 薇珞：Buffy？
Buffy立在床前，聲音相當粗啞陰沉。 Buffy: What did you do? Do you know what you did? You're like children. Your hands smell of death. Bitches! Filthy little bitches, rattling the bones. Did you cut the throat? Did you pat its head? 芭菲：妳做了什麼？妳知道妳做了什麼嗎？妳就像小孩子一樣。妳的雙手聞得到死亡。賤人！骯髒的小賤人，骨頭嘎嘎作響。妳割了牠的喉嚨嗎？妳有拍拍牠的頭嗎？

Buffy抓起桌上的水晶球，不由分說地就朝Willow和Tara砸去。Willow和Tara驚呼了一聲，往兩旁閃避，結果水晶球砸中牆壁，碎片又四散到兩人身上。
Buffy: The blood dried on your hands, didn't it?
芭菲：（大叫）鮮血在妳的雙手上乾涸，不是嗎？
Tara: Oh my god, oh my god!
泰拉：喔，天啊，喔，天啊！
Buffy: You were stained. You still are. I know what you did!
芭菲：（大叫）妳被玷污了。妳一直都會如此。我知道妳做了什麼！

	Willow趕緊起身跳下床，打開房間的燈，但燈才一亮，Buffy就不見了。Willow疑惑地看向坐在床上的Tara，Tara則是發現連玻璃碎片也都不見了。 Tara: The glass. There's no glass. 泰拉：玻璃。（看著Willow）沒有玻璃。
	Willow和Tara於是躡手躡腳地走到Buffy的房間，但推開門，卻發現Buffy已經入睡了。她倆又默默地走回自己房內，一進臥房，Willow就忍不住悄聲發問。 Willow: Okay, what in the frilly heck is going on? 薇珞：好吧，這到底是在搞什麼鬼？ Tara: Maybe we dreamed it. 泰拉：也許我們是在作夢。

Willow把房門關上，兩人朝房內的小桌子走去。
Willow: Right. Right. Wrong! Different brains.
薇珞：是啊。是啊。錯了！（指指頭）我們的腦袋不同耶。
Tara: Oh yeah.
泰拉：喔，對。

Tara檢查桌上的水晶球，發現還是完好如初的，她感到相當不可思議。
Tara: Well ... what was it talking about? Did you understand it?
泰拉：呃……那它剛剛說的又是什麼？妳懂嗎？
Willow: Well, I understood the words, but ... no.
薇珞：我聽得懂每個字，可是……不懂。

	突然間，Willow看到Tara露出恐懼的神色望著自己身後，她趕緊回頭一看，有某個形體從牆壁一路穿越房門離去。 Willow: What was that? 薇珞：那是什麼？ Tara: There's, there's something in the house. 泰拉：有東西在這房子裡。
Willow: What is it after? Is it ... Buffy? 薇珞：它在找什麼？是……Buffy嗎？ Tara: I don't know. 泰拉：我不知道。 Willow: That's it, I'm gonna call. I hope Xander's up. 薇珞：夠了，我要打電話。（轉身去拿電話）我希望Xander能醒醒。

至於此時的Xander，早已經在床上睡得像豬一樣，反倒Anya還是醒的，睡不著的她想要叫醒Xander起來陪她。
Anya: Xander, are you up? I can't sleep. Play a word game with me. Xander, are you awake? Okay, I'm going to describe an adjective with accurate but misleading clues, and then you have to guess what it is. Xander? Xander?
安雅：Xander，你醒著嗎？（Xander沒任何反應）我睡不著。陪我玩猜字遊戲。（Xander還是沒反應）Xander，你是醒著的嗎？好，我要來用一個準確但又有點模糊的線索來描述一個形容詞，然後你就得猜出那是什麼字。（頓了頓）Xander？（戳Xander）Xander？

Xander還是沒反應，但此時電話響起，Xander卻被這深夜中突然的鈴響給嚇醒了。
Xander: Huh? What? Do what?
詹德：啊？什麼？做什麼？

Anya生氣地躺回床上。
Anya: That oughta do it.
安雅：那就是你該做的。

Xander伸手接起床頭的電話。
Xander: Hello?
詹德：喂？

電話一頭是口氣緊張的Willow，Tara也相當關心地靠著電話筒。
Willow: Xander, it's me, Willow. We were just attacked.
薇珞：Xander，是我，Willow。（Anya走下床）我們剛剛被攻擊了。
Xander: Attacked? A vampire?
詹德：攻擊？吸血鬼嗎？
Willow: No, it was Buffy. Or something that looked like her.
薇珞：不是，是Buffy。或者某個看起來像她的東西。

Tara對電話筒補充道。
Tara: Like she was possessed.
泰拉：就像她被鬼附身了一樣。
Willow: And then she just disappeared, a-and, and we saw something... a little ... there's something in the house.
薇珞：然後她就消失了，然後，然後我們就看見了某個東西……一下下……房子裡有東西。

正這麼說的當兒，Anya從廚房緩步走回房間，Xander沒有注意她，繼續含糊地回答Willow的話。
Xander: In the house? All right, Willow, you need to get out of there, just get everyone out.
詹德：在房子裡？好吧，Willow，妳們得要離開那裡，把大家都叫出去。

Anya眼珠轉為灰白，走近Xander，開始開心地狂笑。Xander沒注意到，還是抓著電話交代Willow該怎麼辦。
Xander: Wake up Buffy and Dawn. Don't make a big deal-
詹德：叫醒Buffy和Dawn。不要太過度……

Anya越笑越靠近，手裡亮出一把銳利的刀子，Xander抬頭看到Anya怎麼突然變成這樣，嚇得把電話往旁一拋。
Xander: Gah!
詹德：啊！

Xander從床上跳了起來，他奪下Anya手中的刀子，而Anya就突然倒在地上失去意識。
Xander: Anya!
詹德：Anya！

Xander急忙跪在Anya旁邊。
Xander: Anya!
詹德：Anya！

此時一個奇怪的物體從Xander臥室的地毯下出現，並一路鑽向廚房。被拋在一旁的話筒裡，則傳來Willow擔心的叫喚聲。
Willow: Xander? Xander!
薇珞：Xander？Xander！
