前情提要：

第五季Crush當中，Spike在自己墓穴的地下室裡跟Buffy說：
Spike: I love you.
大釘：我愛妳。
Buffy: Oh my god.
芭菲：（噁心）天哪。

第六季第一集Bargaining當中，Willow和大家坐在墓園內，正施法要讓Buffy復活。
Willow: Here lies the warrior of the people. Let her cross over.
薇珞：（吼）這裡躺著人民的鬥士。讓她跨越界線吧。

Buffy因為咒語而活了過來。

Buffy在第六季第三集After Life結尾，跟Spike在魔法商店的後巷中。
Buffy: I think I was in heaven. I was torn out of there, by my friends. They can never know.
芭菲：我想我之前是在天堂。我被迫離開那裡。被我的朋友……給拉了出來。他們永遠都不會知道的。

在第六季第六集All the Way結尾，Giles跟Buffy提到Dawn青春期的叛逆行為。
Giles: We can't ignore this kind of behavior.
吉爾斯：我們無法忽視這樣子的行為。
（中間切Dawn在All the Way開頭，在魔法商店偷了一個龍紋錢幣）
Giles: Something needs to be done before it spins out of control.
吉爾斯：在事情轉變成不可收拾之前，需要想辦法解決。
Buffy: I'm glad you're here to take care of it.
芭菲：我很高興你在這裡處理這件事。

在第六季第六集All the Way中，Xander跟大家宣佈：
Xander: We're getting married.
詹德：我們要結婚了。
Tara: Congratulations.
泰拉：恭喜。

依舊是All the Way那集，Tara在房間裡跟Willow爭吵。
Tara: Willow, you are using too much magic…Can we not do this now?
泰拉：（生氣）Willow，妳使用太多魔法了……我們可、可不可以現在不要討論這個？
Willow: Just ... forget it ever happened.
薇珞：就忘了發生過的事吧。

Willow拿起忘憂草。
Willow: Forget.
薇珞：遺忘。

接著就進入傳統音樂劇電影形式的片頭。
